Kathmandu, March 17: A person was injured this morning when a bike fell into a road depression at Lazimpat created in course of the installation of the pipeline under the Melamchi Drinking Water Project.

Kathmandu, March 17: A person was injured this morning when a bike fell into a road depression at Lazimpat created in course of the installation of the pipeline under the Melamchi Drinking Water Project.
The motorbike (Ba 47 Pa 7430) heading towards Ratnapark from
Chakrapath fell into the depression injuring the rider. The identity of the
injured person is yet to be disclosed. The motorbike was retrieved by a crane,
traffic constable, Hari Krishna Sedai said.
Meanwhile, Minister for State for Water Supply and Sanitation,
Deepak Khadka, has instructed the Melamchi Drinking Water Project Directorate –
2 to fill up the holes dug up during the pipe installation work at the
earliest.
In wake of complaints over dug up roads and unprecedented rise
in the quantity of dust, has directed the drinking water project to also work
during the night time. RSS
